TANN-Action Team (TAT)

(TANN)-Action Team (TAT) is our extended branch from Taking Action por Nuestro Niños (TANN). Members who have completed TANN started this program, which focuses on advocacy.

The Action Team is a bridge for 0-5 parent leaders to k-12 action team leaders who advocate with our partner 482forward. They work on ORDINANCES, policy change and parent rights. Their work is centered in Southwest Detroit schools.

One of the team’s recent focus areas has been the Invest in Michigan Kids ballot initiative. Some members help gather signatures, share information with families, and build support across schools and the community. TAT participates in meetings and outreach efforts to contribute to DPSCD announcing support for the initiative,  a milestone made possible with the help from  youth voices and community organizing across Southwest.
